Meet the Staff

Karen -

Home for me has always been right here in Columbia Falls. My husband and I have two wonderful daughters and one granddaughter. We are so fortunate that they have stayed here in the valley . I love sewing, crafts, the outdoors, and riding behind my husband on one of our motorcycles just taking in the view.

My background comes from nineteen years in the banking industry. I have been the Office Manager for Dr Newman since 1997.

Kathy -

I relocated to Montana in 2008 from eastern Arkansas after dating my now husband for over four years long distance. I was able to come to Missoula where he lived four times each year on vacations until my daughter (Ashley) graduated and moved out on her own. I now have two 4 legged sons, Kato and Rudy, that keep us entertained on a daily basis. After seeing many areas of the state, including the Flathead Valley, we decided this was the area we wanted to make our home. I have taken to the outdoor lifestyle here and regularly enjoy floating, camping, hiking, snowshoeing, etc. I feel very fortunate to be able to live in such a beautiful area and look forward to many happy years here.

You will find me at the front desk greeting patients and scheduling appointments. If you call the office and I happen to answer, you'll definitely recognize my southern accent!

Maria -

I was born and raised in Southwestern Montana. At the young age of 12, I chose dental hygiene as my career. After attending hygiene school at MSU-Great Falls College of Technology, I returned to Bozeman where I practiced for 3 years. Then I met the man of my dreams, got married, and moved to the Flathead Valley. Now we have two boys whom we love to death.

Since joining the dental team of Dr. Newman's in 2008, it has been my pleasure helping meet the dental needs of our patients.

Carolyn -

I received my B.S. in Dental Hygiene from the University of Colorado. I practiced dental hygiene in a Denver periodontal office for a few years before moving to Switzerland. I worked for a Swiss dentist for just under two years, enjoyed the opportunity to travel in Europe, and returned to Colorado. I married, had two sons, and joined the clinical faculty of the University of Colorado School of Dentistry teaching dental students in the Department of Periodontics.

I joined this office when we moved to Montana and have worked with Dr. Newman since 1998. I appreciate participating in delivering high quality dentistry to all our patients.

Tammy -

Born and raised in Lodi, California where I met and married my husband of 15 years. We moved to Montana in 1999 to be closer to my husband's family. We have two handsome boys who keep me hopping attending their sporting events. I also enjoy hunting, canning, sewing, and spending time with my family.

I started working as a dental assistant for Dr Newman's team in 2007. I enjoy the creativity my job allows me when learning new things, greeting patients, and assisting Dr Newman and our two hygienists.
